[00:00:00] Welcome to episode 37 of the Pursuit of Freedom podcast. It has been quite a while since I uploaded an episode, so I just wanted to come back to say today and just talk through why. Why did I drop off the radar, what's been happening
[00:00:19] and what on earth is the plan for the future of the podcast? I don't really have any iron clad answers for you but here we go let's dive in. I am currently in Perth or in
[00:00:37] the Weston Australia. I have heard it across from Victoria, made my way over and I think I took five days or something, I was exhausted by the end of it but it's just amazing to
[00:00:53] be able to move across the country on a moment's notice because I felt like that is what then life allows me to do and it's just amazing sometimes I go wow this is my life. I can go anywhere
[00:01:19] I can just get in my van load till you in the front seat with me and off we go I have everything I need here and that's why I embarked on this adventure this is my pursuit of freedom. This is what
[00:01:36] freedom looks like to me at the moment living in a van running my own business is my vehicle to wealth and freedom. I think that's important it's a vehicle I'm using business and van life as
[00:01:53] a vehicle to live my free and my rich life that is why I do it and it looks different for everybody. But I just want to have a chat actually about what it is that I do because I don't actually think
[00:02:09] I've ever spoken about it on the podcast which blows my mind a bit seeing as we're at episode 37 but here we go I don't have a job title because I have no idea what to call myself but I'm self employed
[00:02:26] my business is called Cooka Leanie and there's a beautiful story behind that I'm going to I'm going to segue into the story before we get to what I actually do so Cooka Leanie it's a made up word
[00:02:40] and just saying it I've got this big smile on my face because it's a word that my family used to use when I was a little girl it was a bit of fun right would be out in public and you know I'd be with one parent
[00:02:56] and the other one would be maybe you know 100 meters away doing something else maybe it would be at the shops or at the beach or something and would call out Cooka Leanie and the other person would shout it back Cooka Leanie
[00:03:16] and it was just a fun little thing to do it just my heart swells with the fun memories of that and that's why I called it Cooka Leanie because it puts a smile on my face and it means absolutely nothing
[00:03:33] to anybody else and for quite some time I began feeling a bit shy about it but fuck that it's a great word it has great memories and stories attached to it for me and it's my business so there you go
[00:03:52] that's what Cooka Leanie is it's spelled KWKAL-I-N-I and I remember asking mum this was when you know maybe a couple of months before she died but I was like mum how would you spell Cooka Leanie and we agreed that it would be KWK-I-N-I so there you go
[00:04:15] it's interesting though because I was talking to my sister about Cooka Leanie the word I can't remember when I was talking to her maybe last year and I was saying what fun memories I had of it
[00:04:27] and she's like oh yeah I get meant nothing to her which I found really interesting so the meaning we attached to things is vastly different
[00:04:37] we had the same parents grew up in the same household we look quite similar yet our beliefs and our desires, our passions and our motivations are quite different the other thing is there's about 10 years between us so that probably plays a part too
[00:04:57] anyway I'm going to stop scurting the issue what is it that I Rosie Burrow's do well I don't have a brief answer for that maybe one day I will but you know what I'm okay let's have a yarn
[00:05:13] at the moment on my LinkedIn profile in the headline I call myself an all-in-one business mindset and life coach because they're the best words I can mash together that people seem to understand
[00:05:30] but I am not a business coach I am not a mindset coach I am not a life coach in fact I'm not even a coach but what am I I couldn't tell you what do I do and what do I help people with?
[00:05:46] I help them get clear on what's important to them I help them get clear on what they want their life to look like they're to dream of what their rich life would look like and I'm not just talking about money money is going to be part of it
[00:06:04] but what does your rich life actually look like? Expanding people's horizons why is it we shut down these dreams before we can even finish the sentence finish saying them out loud we don't even entertain the idea that it could be possible
[00:06:21] that's not cool so I'm here to challenge people push them to the very edge of where they're comfortable ask them the questions but is that true? Who is that serving? What is it that you want?
[00:06:36] and if you're not happy with your life now what have you done to change it? and you know what there's often excuses I'm guilty of it so this isn't me pointing the thing on just as hard truth
[00:06:50] and I still make excuses we're all guilty of it this is a journey it's not a one and done but I help people work through that and I've got clearer and clearer on what it is I do over time
[00:07:03] so who are most passionate about working with helping supporting guiding a female solo printers so people who identify as women who are in business is just them or maybe a couple of people
[00:07:19] right and they're in the early stages I might say early stages they might be just about to take the leap from traditional work to doing their own business or maybe they've just started their business
[00:07:32] or maybe they're in the first couple years and they're just really kind of feeling very alone on their journey you know you don't have quite the clarity that they thought they would
[00:07:44] and so I'm there to go hey let's go not only am I helping with the mindset stuff and all the personal growth work but also the unsexy side of business I can just go here you go here's the best tech stack
[00:08:01] when you're a beginning business owner you don't have money coming in here's the free tech I recommend that are actually really good the best free stuff you can use why pay for fucking five different subscriptions
[00:08:20] when you're still testing things out money counts okay you spend it where it's worth spending but many free tools are fantastic but it takes time and effort to find them
[00:08:34] so I can help people do that and I do help with that and in fact I'm finishing up a free being now that will outline my tech recommendations for business owners right and I'll put a few options you know people where saving money is a priority or people
[00:08:51] where you know certain features are a priority so it's not just going to be a simple list there'll be a few different options this shit is important and using the right tech helps you remove friction which is a good thing
[00:09:04] you want as little friction as possible when running your business otherwise it gets too overwhelming so how do I do what I do well I have my podcast so I'm talking to people through there making all sorts of cool connections I'm on TikTok because I'm cool like that
[00:09:23] and in fact someone in a Facebook group with thousands of people and I recognize me they're like oh my god I follow you on TikTok so that was a very strange feeling but kind of cool I'm on LinkedIn but my paid services yeah I have a community
[00:09:44] a paid community of fierce women who just want to figure the fuck out who they are what they want and how to thrive in business and life and it doesn't mean that failing
[00:10:00] it just means they've got this burning desire to build a better life and it can be a lonely journey like I said before so in this community is surrounded by like minded women we lift each
[00:10:13] other up we listen we give advice if you want it and you know what else there is I give workshops I bring in experts speakers there's monthly coworking sessions so we're going to sit
[00:10:29] together and get shit done and I don't mean sit together face to face I've got members from all over the world we sit in a zoom call no shit with the cameras on and we just do some work
[00:10:42] so we'll jump on the call right this is what I'm struggling with or this is what I want to get done today let's go we've all got our musical headphones on just and there you go he and what this community is as beneficial if not more beneficial
[00:10:57] to me than it is to them to the other members community is so powerful and I think it's the best way to accelerate your journey surrounding yourself with people who lift you up with people who inspire you with people who have wisdom to share so that's one way
[00:11:19] I've got a community right I've also got something really exciting to work actually a little bit scared to share it but hey there's not a huge amount of listeners and I'm just sitting in my van recording on my iPad because you know what I'm feeling a bit too
[00:11:37] overwhelmed to sit up and I can do things properly so here I am recording on the iPad because that's easier and it means I get something out but this big exciting thing I'm working on
[00:11:47] I'm putting together a high ticket offer it is 12 months long it is limited to 10 spots only I'm getting excited just talking about this actually so we'll all have changing for me and for the women who join right 12 months of intense intense I'm talking really intense
[00:12:14] workshops business clinics one on one coaching with me group coaching but the other members just fall on let's take you from zero to 100 on your business and on your life journey
[00:12:30] I'm gonna fucking get me there the women in this program are gonna get you there in the space of 12 months and the first year I'm running it it's $10,000 Australian dollars can I just clarify so my international listeners as a fricken bargain for you
[00:12:50] and in fact even in my currency that's very good value for 12 months but I'm not here to pitch but that's what I'm doing and it's been in my head this launch for a long time
[00:13:03] probably since the beginning of the year or maybe a few months in but I've been talking myself out of her and you know just being in my head a lot about it but you know what?
[00:13:14] Unless I put it out into the world and set that intention it's just not gonna happen so here I am it's in a fucking podcast it's out there for the few people listening you've heard me say it
[00:13:26] Rosie Burrows CEO and founder of Cooka Leone is launching a $10,000 offer exclusively for 10 women application only and did I mention at the end of the 12 months there is going to be a retreat on my block of land by the way I don't yet own this block of land
[00:13:51] but I'm gonna it has been a dream since I was a little girl to have this block of land so there we are that's what's happening for me and I think part of the reason I kind of
[00:14:06] stopped publishing episodes regularly is I lost some clarity I'm like well why am I doing this podcast is it for fun or is it to help with my business?
[00:14:18] I really got caught up about that and I'm like well I put a lot of time and effort into this podcast but what is it giving me you know the editing became a bit of a slog
[00:14:30] and what I think I want the podcast to be is both I want it to be fun and I want it to help grow my business but in a very authentic way so fun informative and aligned with my business
[00:14:47] and the right people will come the right people who listen to this podcast if they are interested in working with me then they will and that could be you listening so if that's you you go find me on LinkedIn Rosie Barres
[00:15:01] it's a fight on me for the big grin on my face wearing an acupera can't miss it otherwise send me an email my email will be in the show notes I think that's enough from me though I wonder if you can hear my fridge in the background
[00:15:15] that's quite noisy and it's not the best noise I do wonder if something's wrong with it it's going anyway that's me it's quite cold for at least cold for me anyway thank you for sticking with me you're one of the few I appreciate you
[00:15:36] and I want you to know that you are so capable you are so deserving and I've forgotten the other word but you are so capable and you are so deserving to live the life of your dreams
[00:16:01] and I don't fucking care how stupid you think that sounds it is true each of you listening are worth fighting for don't you forget it you are worth fighting for you are worth it you are capable and you are deserving
[00:16:22] on that note join my newsletter it's called the weekly cook I'm still figuring it out but it's great fun I send out an edition every week trip and over my words
[00:16:35] yeah I'd love to have you on there my list is at 105 people right now which is really really cool so sign up to the newsletter if you feel like it you can sign up and if you don't like it just don't subscribe but I promise there's no spam
[00:16:51] it's all good fun now catch you in the next episode
